Man Up: Straight Talk and Inspiration From Allies and Advocates
 
This dynamic event will include leaders with entertainment, sports, military, government and finance backgrounds who have committed their time and resources to issues that greatly promote gender equality. They will share perspectives and experiences that have shaped their choices and careers. All are influential, fascinating and inspirational. 

The event will be followed by a reception.

Peter Hermann is an actor, writer and advocate. He currently plays Charles Brooks on the TV Land series “Younger”, from “Sex and the City” creator Darren Star. On Broadway, Peter's work includes Eric Bogosian’s “Talk Radio” and Lincoln Center’s Tony Award-winning production of “War Horse.” He has appeared in numerous films, including Paul Greengrass’ “United 93,” HBO’s “Too Big To Fail" and Stephen Frears' "Philomena." His first picture book, “If the S in Moose Comes Loose”, is forthcoming from HarperCollins. He is a graduate of Yale University, was a charter member of the Teach For America Teaching Corps, and has been a board member of the Joyful Heart Foundation since 2004. He lives in New York with his wife, actress and Joyful Heart founder Mariska Hargitay, and their three children.

We are honored to have a most courageous and outstanding former military officer, Lieutenant Paula Coughlin, introduce our esteemed keynote speaker Colonel Don Christensen (Ret.) US Air Force.  Colonel Christensen is President of Protect Our Defenders, an organization that honors, supports and gives voice to survivors of military sexual assault and harassment.
